Future Faking

Future faking is a manipulative behavior in which a person promises or hints at a positive future together with someone, but with no genuine intention of following through. It involves creating false hopes or expectations to maintain the person’s interest or trust, often to serve the manipulator’s immediate needs or desires. Future faking can lead to disappointment, emotional turmoil, and a loss of trust when the promises remain unfulfilled.
